If you’re looking to make some money and have fun doing it, you should consider joining my team as a Paparazzi Accessories Consultant. Your investment can be as little as $99 for the kit (+ shipping & tax).
I’d left this page blank on my site for a few months while I explored the business opportunity myself. What attracted me was the $5 price point. I love being able to sell fabulous fashion jewelry for such a small amount of money. I’m forever having to convince people that yes, it’s is just $5, and yes, the earrings come with the necklace. I love it!
I’m still growing my business, slowly… because this is a side gig for me. I am confident that an average person could do this and make good money for their time. There are things to learn and you do have to spend some time at the beginning setting up your business and getting organized, but after that, $20 per hour would be an easily achievable goal. I’ve found that once people buy a few pieces, they are more likely to buy again (that’s pretty standard if you’re selling a good product). So, the first time someone buys, they get one or two items. The next time they buy, it seems to double. Sales in person (for me) always go much faster than online sales — with no invoicing or packing and shipping involved.
This business model does require you to carry inventory. If your money is tight, I recommend getting the $99 kit and selling all 35 pieces, and then immediately reinvest that money into more inventory.
The math works like this:
35 items x $5 = $175
$175 is enough to buy 60 more items (shipping is free for orders over $100), and you’ll get 6 free items from Paparazzi (their choice)
The math gets harder to nail down here because you’ll want to budget some of the 60 items for hostess gifts, typically 1 item just for hosting a party, plus 1 item for every 10 sold, plus 1 item for each guest who books a party. The actual hostess gifts are up to you. I also usually have a drawing for the guests, and guests who bring a friend get an additional ticket for each guest they bring (still only giving out one prize, but more people means more sales). For our example let’s say you book 2 parties and one grosses $150 (30 items) in sales and the other $100 (20 items) in sales with one booking each.
Hostess 1 would get 1 hosting item, 3 items for the number of sales, and 1 for the booking (provided to the sponsoring hostess when the other show is held), plus 1 for a drawing. That’s 6 items, total, but 5 needed immediately
Hostess 2 would get get 1 hosting item, 2 items for the number of sales, and 1 for the booking (provided to the sponsoring hostess when the other show is held), plus 1 for a drawing. That’s 5 items, total, but 4 needed immediately
That would zero out your inventory and leave you with $250 with which to buy additional inventory, or pocket some of the $$ and buy inventory with the rest.
Once you’ve practiced a bit, it doesn’t take long to do a show. Obviously the bigger the shows, the more you make.
To be honest, I wasn’t so sure about the styles of a few of the pieces in my kit… they weren’t anything *I* would pick… but every last one of them is gone. I’ve learned to trust that the folks at corporate know what they are doing.
I’ve sold 5 ways so far:
- My free replicated site at Paparazzi (people buy directly and Papa sends you a commission)
- My own website (I’m a web designer, so this cost me nothing… it is not necessary and could be expensive)
- Facebook LIVE parties
- Parties with friends/family
- Vendor table at public events
I joined for the social interaction and because I love this stuff and am excited about it, so 3 & 4 fulfill that for me. In my case, I’ve made the most money that way too. I do know people who do nothing but FB LIVE parties and make a good living. They are fun and easy… and profitable, but I didn’t sign up to run a mail order company. In fact, most of the company’s growth in the past year and a half has been primarily because of the LIVE party success.
LIVE parties are fun and easy, no driving required.
